30 weeks and 4 days pregnant!

I know I say this every week but I just can NOT believe how fast this pregnancy is going! I was expecting it to drag and drag and me wish not to be pregnant anymore, but it hasn’t been like that in the slightest!

This week has been a pretty crazy week, I am definitely feeling the strains of being active whilst pregnant now.. Today is Saturday and on Tuesday I started feeling severe pains in my chest and under my bump, much more to the right hand side. Tuesday it wasn’t too bad and I pushed through it at work, Wednesday was a little different. I couldn’t eat, couldn’t really move around with the children, it hurt to stand and sit etc. So work sent me home. My mum thought it would be a good idea just to go up to the hospital to get it checked out.

I got to the hospital at about 4pm, they sent me to the Labour Ward where they put me on a heartbeat monitor to monitor the baby’s heartbeat. I’ll put a picture in at the bottom 😛 his heartbeat was all good even though the midwife said he didn’t want to behave and stay in one place for the machine! haha. They must have also had too many bands that keep the heartbeat monitors on because she gave me them to keep! Baby boy hated these on him! He was wriggling and kicking them trying to get the off haha!

They tested my urine which again at no surprise they said it came back with white blood cells in, this is becoming the story of my life.. they didn’t give me any antibiotics or anything though because I haven’t been feeling any symptoms of a UTI. They tested my blood which I finally got relief from, I’m not sure if I wrote about it here but I got a letter from the doctors about my glucose test. It said that the doctor wanted to talk to me about my results and so for days I was adamant that I had diabetes. The hospital said I didn’t have diabetes but my blood count is a bit low, although still acceptable. I think they want to put me on iron.. woo(!)

So I had Thursday off of work because the doctors said that I needed to rest a bit more, literally stayed in bed all day – it felt so good! My managers are quite supportive. Telling me not to come in if I don’t feel great, which is hard for me because I hate feeling like I’m letting them down, but I now need to think of me and my little boy, who is currently kicking me like mad. Yesterday I went into work, but I instantly regretted it. I started at 7:45 and managed to hold out until 11 when they sent me home. I wasn’t feeling the pains anymore, I am just sooo pale, feeling sick and literally so tired all the time, even if I haven’t done anything! So again, yesterday I rested pretty much all day!

My parents think I should think about taking my maternity leave much sooner than what I am planning on taking it, which I think I may have too.. but, I am not taking it just yet! I will go insane with boredom haha. I’m not sure I wrote about a lady in which I am helping on here yet either! My deputy manager introduced me to her, she is studying human development at a university in London. She needs a new mother and a newborn baby in order to complete her studies, its a long haul experiment, I think it takes about 18 months and I have agreed to help her. I think it will be quite nice to have someone else to talk to 🙂

Finally got my moses basket on the stand! so my room is getting there 🙂 So far I have my wardrobe, his changing unit, my bed and his moses basket all set up 🙂 I can’t believe how bright it looks in there now compared to how it used to! Theres still quite a bit to do in there but it is going to take time! I guess its all time and money hehe! I’m hoping to order my pushchair next weekend too! Exciting times 🙂 I’ll show you my moses basket 😀

I love the style of this moses basket, I love how it curves at both ends and its so lightweight! It might be a little bigger or wider than some moses baskets but I’m just so in love with this design. I got him a little blue blanket in there too 🙂 Have you heard of the Cuddle company? I really want to get him one of their blankets and taggiez.. £35 for the set I believe, you design it yourself and can get it personalised.. I think I have a name for him but I keep changing my mind arghh!! 🙂

So according to my pregnancy+ app he is currently… the size of a winter squash. Which to me, in the photo looks like a pumpkin? aha he should be around 2.5-3.8 lbs by the time we reach week 32 🙂 and he should be approx. 15-17 inches in length from crown to heel! My heartburn has subsided a little bit, I don’t feel it as much although it still comes and goes.. I know I haven’t really been keeping track on my weight, but when I first found out I was pregnant back in May I was around 6 stone 5. (baring in mind I’m only 5 foot tall!) and now I am approx. 7 stone 11! omg.

Here are my bump pictures for 30 weeks and 4 days 🙂 I can not believe how round the one looks where I’m sitting down! It looks kind of funny haha!

(Sorry that this update was soo long!!)
